The HP Indigo 5000 press provides high-volume printing capacity with an amazing image quality that rivals (and in some cases surpasses) offset quality printing. The press is designed specifically for mid- to large-size companies who want to take quick advantage of the virtually unlimited opportunities of digital printing. Designed for the most demanding production environments, the HP Indigo press 5000 delivers up to seven-color printing, high definition text and images using HP's unique adaptive halftoning technology, with outstanding substrate selection.

Liquid Ink Technology used by the HP Indigo 5000

• High definition imaging and unique liquid HP ElectroInk - create rich, vibrant color prints at 812 x 812 dpi resolution and lines screens up to 230 lines per inch
• HP's unique Adaptive Halftoning technology - the HP Indigo press 5000 analyzes text as its being printed, adding dots to fill gaps at the edges, producing crisp, sharp text and images that enhance the quality of printed pieces without affecting color stability
• Unlimited color opportunities enhance color vibrancy and expand job potential - optional five, six and seven-color inking stations allows augmentation of four process colors with HP IndiChrome onpress and offpress special colors

Print-on-Demand (POD)

Although traditional print jobs can (and may) be performed with the Indigo Press, the primary business objective of FAI's Print-On-Demand services is to print collateral material on an 'as needed' basis for our clients. This is not to say that FAI will be printing materials upon order receipt, rather batches of marketing materials will be proactively printed based on forecasted demand and/or historical usage data. The benefits of POD to our customer are intricately linked to the services we provide to them, as listed below:
